Introduction

SOFiSTiK Reinforcement Detailing significantly accelerates the creation of 2D reinforcement sheets out of 3D models in Revit. The product consists of software and a set of families, which can easily be modified to meet local or company standards. Creation of bar lists, bending schedules and cut lists for wire meshes is included as well.

Getting Started

You will get to know the basic tools and workflows of SOFiSTiK Reinforcement Detailing and experience how easy it is to make 2D reinforcement drawings from 3D models in Autodesk Revit. Step by step, we will create a reinforcement drawing for a concrete beam. From the following link, you can download the shown project to reproduce the steps.

Interface

After installation of SOFiSTiK Reinforcement Detailing, an additional ribbon tab “SOFiSTiK Reinforcement” with the related tools and controls will appear.

Holding the cursor over a tool on the ribbon, a tooltip is displayed. The tooltip provides a brief description of the tool. While the tooltip is visible, you can press F1 to open the help that provides more information.

Workflow

While working with SOFiSTiK Reinforcement Detailing, the following workflow is recommended:

  1. Preparation of the reinforcement sheet by placing all required views on the sheet.

  2. Modeling of the reinforcement.

  3. Using this software by setting the bar marks, placing the annotations etc.
