Updates for SOFiSTiK FEA 23 und SOFiCAD available

There are new versions and servicepacks for the SOFiSTiK FEA 23, SOFiCAD and SOFiSTiK Extensions for REVIT available for update via SONAR. There is no Servicepack available for SOFiPLUS(-X) this time. Detailed info about each program´s changes can be obtained from the LOG-files. SONAR offers a nice feature to let you read the difference of your local and the latest log-file on the server before you press the update-button ! Simply use the right-mouse click on one program in the program list and select "change-log".

Attention: From July 1st a new SONAR/FTP password is active ! It can be obtained from the service-contract invoice, your local sales SOFiSTiK reseller or us, if you write us an email to info@sofistik.com !

Servicepack 12/2008 - Known Bugs

There is a known bug in the Structural Desktop when using the command "calculate all" in the task-tree causing the SSD to halt making further calculation steps impossible. A bugfix is already available via SONAR. After updating you programs the normal way, repeat the proceedure but activate the button "Show latest beta-modules (in devlopment)", then mark ONLY the module "SSD", unmark all others. Then, continue as usual.

SOFiSTiK IFC Interface released

With the current versions we released the IFC-import interface enabling the user to import data that is stored in the "icf-structural-analysis-view" (IFC 2x3). The interface converts the information into a DAT-file that can create a CDB afterwards. The follwing elements can be imported: materials, cross-sections, structural elements (points, lines, areas), supports and loads. The minimal SOFiSTiK configuration must consist of AQUA, SOFiMSHC, SOFiLOAD and ASE. The additional license "ifci" is needed. For further info contact your local SOFiSTiK partner or us.

SOFiSTiK Extensions for REVIT now with the grouping-function

We have implemented a function to recognize the grouping in REVIT Structure. Currently only explicitly assigned groups will be exported into a SOFiSTiK group. Multiple or redundant group assignments cannot be taken into account at this time, but a more flexible group-handling is planned for future versions. Get the latest version of the Extensions simply by updating your installation with SONAR !
