64bit-Versions for SOFiPLUS and SOFiCAD

We will provide 64bit-versions of SOFiPLUS and SOFiCAD by the end of September. Most solvers (ASE, DYNA..) are available as 64bit-version for Windows and Linux already for a longer time ! All other programs (WinGRAF, SSD..) run as 32bit applications under Windows7 64bit with no known problems. We will release an official version for Windows7 64bit in the near future.

New Servicepacks available !

There are new versions and servicepacks for the SOFiSTiK FEA Version 23, Version 2010, SOFiPLUS(-X) 2010 and SOFiCAD 2010 18.1 available for update via SONAR. Detailed info about each program´s changes can be obtained from the LOG-files.

 

SONAR offers a nice feature to let you read the difference of your local and the latest log-file on the server before you press the update-button ! Simply use the right-mouse click on one program in the program list and select "change-log".

Version 2010: Graphical input of slab prestressing tendons

After updating SOFiPLUS(-X) 2010 and the core module TENDON the graphical input of slab prestressing tendons can be performed using the toolbox 'Prestressing' in SOFiPLUS.

The current version 2010 allows to convert AutoCAD objects like lines and polylines into tendons for structural areas in the x-y plane. The analysis allows the calculation for systems without and with inplane restraints (System: 2D prestressed slab and 3D FEA). As tendon profile types the cubic spline and free tendon layout are supported.

Within the design tendons are considered for the reduction of punching forces and (if bonded) in the ULS design with additional strains. Admissible stresses and forces areautomatically considered according to the selected project design code, supported codes are among others: EN 1992, BS EN 1992, I DM 2008, SIA 262, OEN EN 1992 and DIN 1045-1/DIN-Fb.

Enhanced steel cross section classification acc. t. EN 1993 in AQB (Version 2010)

The printout of the steel design checks will now print the sectional class in parentheses after the evaluated c/t-value followed by the limit c/t value of the respective limit classification.

The elastic design for standard sections of class 4 acc. t. EN 1993 (STRE C) is now available by increasing the limits according to EN 1993-1-1 5.5.2 (9).

For a nonlinear design (NSTR) the rules according to EN 1993-1-5 4.3 will be applied for thin walled sections. The utilization of the c/t limit values (which is printed in the column N/Npl) is now considering a linear stress factor for stresses of the sectional class 4.
