Shape Detail

The Shape Detail tool creates a dimensioned sketch (Revit detail family) of a rebar- or fabric shape and places it together with a tag in the view. The rebar shape detail represents all instances of the corresponding mark. For this reason the marks must already be set (see command Set Marks).

1. Activate the view where you want to place shape details.
2. Do one of the following:

• Select a rebar or fabric of the desired mark to create a shape detail click Reinforcement tab Tagging panel (Shape Detail).
• Click Reinforcement tab Tagging panel (Shape Detail) Select a rebar or fabric of the desired mark to create a shape detail.

3. Click to place the Shape Detail.

Insertion point is the lower left corner of a rectangular box around the shape detail.

4. Continue placing more shape details, or press Esc to exit the tool.

Tip

You can select the reinforcement object itself or its tag.
