Overall, the target of SOFiSTiK Reinforcement Detailing is to ensure that everything related to content and appearance is customizable to meet different markets and company standards.
Warning
Any changes to the content requires careful planning and management and should only be done by the Revit administrator or CAD/BIM managers of the organization. The software will not work without valid content.
The SOFiSTiK Content Pack contains all required families for “SOFiSTiK Reinforcement Detailing” stored in a Revit project template file (rte). The reference to a valid content pack is required to run SOFiSTiK Reinforcement Detailing, because the contained families will be loaded and used automatically from the program tools.
The following two content packs are supplied together with the software:
You can either choose a content pack at the start of a new project or load a content pack into your desired template.
- Confirm the message dialog “No Content Found!” with OK.

The settings dialog (with all its families) will be loaded.
Tip
You can check the referenced content pack on the Miscellaneous tab in the settings dialog.
Note
Please make sure that the indicated path and file name to the content pack keeps valid.
The runtime families are part of the content pack and will be loaded by the corresponding tools individually. These families neither are visible in the settings dialog nor it’s allowed to change their names.
The runtime families and can be accessed in each of the supplied SOFiSTiK content packs in the following sub folder of the content directory:
..\Content\Reinforcement\runtime
In case you create your own content pack, make sure that the following runtime families will be part of it:
In addition a SOFiSTiK Content Library consisting of project templates and families is provided. The Library will not be required to run the software.
It is recommended to use a SOFiSTiK reinforcement project template as the entire supplied content is already integrated. Additionally, a wire mesh catalog and different reinforcement view filters are included as well.
The project templates can be accessed in the following sub folder of the content directory:
..\Content\Reinforcement\User\MyCountry
The supplied bending shape catalog is a set of Revit families containing the standard rebar shapes. These families can also separately be loaded into the project as required. The bending shape catalog can be accessed in the following sub folder of the content directory:
