Manage SOFiSTiK SSD Templates¶

Title: Manage SOFiSTiK SSD Templates | Quality: 1080p HD | Captions: English

When you open the i_generate Generate FEA System Dialog for the first time, then the SOFiSTiK Initialize System Dialog will show up, where you can select the template for the SSD project of your main system.

You can also select a SSD template for each of your subsystems. For this, set a subsystem as current system in the drop-down menu of SOFiSTiK Analysis (tab Analysis). When hitting the i_SSD SOFiSTiK Structural Desktop command, the SOFiSTiK Initialize System Dialog will appear again for the subsystem.

This video shows how to manage the SOFiSTiK Structural Desktop templates. It will be shown how to create a custom SSD Template and how to use it in SOFiSTiK Extension for Revit in the command i_generate Generate FEA System. To create a SSD Template, open the SOFiSTiK Structural Desktop SSD and create a new project.

System Information Dialog will show up. Here you need to setup the design code and other System properties. Next step is to modify and organise the tasks in the SSD task tree as desired. As an example we will add the Earthquake task from the task list. if you are finished with organising the tasks, then save the SSD Project as a SOFiSTiK template file. You will be asked if you want to save the template with fixed informations e.g. design code, or as a free template, without fixed informations. If you choose fixed informations, then you won’t be able to change the design code later on. You can choose where you want to save the template file.

The saved template can be used for the next intialization.
