This list represents new features and the reported issues resolved within SOFiSTiK Analysis + Design. The issues are directly reported by users via Product Support Cases and SOFiSTiK Communities.
For the optimal product experience we highly recommend to work with the latest version of the Product.
2020-11 Update Release (06.08.2021)¶
The default Column Design report now also prints out the required reinforcement ratio.
The license information dialog has been fully reworked providing better guidance to the user in invalid licensing situations.
2020-9 Update Release (20.04.2021)¶
Improvement in the Cross Section Mapping mechanism, now the automatic mapping recognizes and accounts for polygonal openings in sections

Dynamo scripts can now handle more than 32 CDBs
Improved consistency by load case allocation for Load take down, when load case numbering of self-weight varies between source and target subsystem: the load case hosting the source subsystem’s self-weight also hosts the supporting elements’ self-weight.
Fixing small inconsistency linked to language settings as well as UTF-8 encoding

2020-7 Update Release (04.12.2020)¶
Correction of defined stress limit and the input of the KAPA factor in Prestressing Workflow.
Create Subsystem by Level no longer misses hoasted loads on beam elements.
Some area loads were undividable into load pattern. This issue has been fixed.
2020-6 Update Release (25.09.2020)¶
A new algorithm for Load Pattern allows for more complex load configurations.
Multiple improvements to the Prestressing Workflow. 1) User defined prestressing systems now show Pmo and Po,max in reports. 2) User defined stress limit now supported. 3) Prestressing direction from both sides now supported.
Subsystem View and Subsystem Views by Levels now account for analytical nodes and SOFiSTiK functional lines (results cut lines, tendon projection etc.) if these objects are visible in the active view.
2020-5 Update Release (09.07.2020)¶
Beam Design now supports multi-layered reinforcement in the bottom of the cross section.
Polygonal cross sections got further options include enhanced settings for torsion and shear deformation behavior.
SOFiSTiK_DesignReinforcementRatiohas been added to the shared parameters exported by Column Design.
Export of Revit Axes now fully supported. Priorly, only axis names up to four characters and without special characters were exported correctly (172894, 173446).
Fixed an issue with load take down for slabs via beams with several supporting walls (173849, 174487, 175634).
Improvement in punching design for walls in subsystems (172820).
An issue with beam design and the message ‘no cross section found’ has been solved (172613).
2020-4 Update Release (10.04.2020)¶
Beam Design now also supports the design code NF 1992-2004 (see Supported Calculation and Design codes).
New Nodes available in the Dynamo package ‘SOFiSTiK Analysis + Design’, which provides reinforcement results for all designed structural members.
Fixed issue with curved lines loads exported as straight line loads (171766, 172293).
2020-3 Update Release (15.02.2020)¶
Polygonal cross section dialog: reinforcement placements can now be added and their geometry adjusted.
Dynamo package ‘SOFiSTiK Analysis + Design’: dynamo scripts delivered with the package have been improved.
Storey levels information is now also available for subsystems.
The name of the Revit level now shows as description of the level in SOFiSTiK reports.
Fixed issue in the generation of steel profiles (167440, 168200).
2020-2 Update Release (15.12.2019)¶
A new dialog allows to visualize and adjust the reinforcement of non-standard polygonal cross sections (e.g. sections with arbitrary polygonal shape or wall sections of Design Elements).
The automatic cross section mapping creates reinforcement layers for non-standard polygonal concrete sections.
New command ‘Create Result Cut Line’: cut lines drawn within analytical surfaces can be exported to SOFiSTiK to visualize cut line results within the program Graphic.
The user directly accesses Revit’s ribbon Place Lines when using the commands ‘Create Tendon Projection’, ‘Create Tendon Station’ or ‘Create Result Cut Line’.
Changes in the Graphical User Interface for a better integration of the new commands under group Utilities.
Using the new SOFiSTiK Structural Property ‘Intersect’ the user can define if a Truss/Cable element should intersect with other elements of the model.
New Nodes available in the Dynamo interface, allowing to export subsystems and mainsystems, calculate any Teddy File and read Tendon informations.
Beam Design: Recognition of the support situation has been improved (167521).
Automatic Cross Section Mapping: Correction in the generation of minimum shear reinforcement values.
Improvement in the generation of point loads.
Fixed issue in the export of results to Excel.
2020-1 Update Release (15.10.2019)¶
In addition to single loadcases, Revit Load Combinations are now taken into account during the analysis of a system when the option “Analyze Load Combination” is active.
New function enables to invalidate material, cross section or action mapping on an element basis.
Fixed issue in the SOFiSTiK Data Management dialog when displaying steel profiles and leading to a crash of the program.
Improvement of cross section displays in the SOFiSTiK Data Management dialog.

2020-0 Release (01.08.2019)¶
Porting of SOFiSTiK Analysis + Design to Autodesk Revit Version 2020.
Design Elements can be activated for Walls in Revit allowing to determine integrated Wall forces. These results can be used e.g. for the design of shear walls in seismic analyses within the SOFiSTiK Structural Desktop.
A dedicated Dynamo package ‘SOFiSTiK Analysis + Design’ is available on the Dynamo Package Manager allowing to control the calculation process in Revit and to extract analysis results and other data from a SOFiSTiK database.
The command ‘Create Tendon Projection allows’ to define prestressing systems and tendons in the Revit Model for the analysis prestressed slabs.
New command ‘Filter Loads’ enables checking and selective display of Revit loads in the model.
SOFiSTiK Structural Properties are now available for Revit Boundary Condition elements.
User defined assignment of SOFiSTiK structural element numbers is now possible for analytical models.
Structural point numbers can now be assigned to analytical nodes allowing to easily identify these points within SOFiSTiK later.
A new Structural Property enable the definition of Cables and Truss elements in the model.
A new command ‘SOFiSTiK Data Management’ allows to control, adjust and purge SOFiSTiK related information like sections and materials saved in the Revit file.
The user can now set the folder to be used as working directory for all SOFiSTiK-related files of the project.
Changing the data source of a design group (e.g. main or subsystem) is now possible by right mouse click in the Design Browser.

In the results preview of the column design dialog now displays the reinforcement ratio.
From Version 2020 on, SOFiSTiK Analysis no longer creates boundary conditions automatically for columns and walls with structural foundations.

Fixed issue where loads being transferred between subsystems have not been determined correctly in cases where continuous girders were supported by walls.
