TOOLTIP Editor für die Darstellung von Labelobjekten
Summary

The label editor is a tool for creating and editing label objects in SOFiCAD 2016. Not only can you arrange the associated text fields, but you can also add any frame, manage text size, font and text color and determine the behavior of the label if it is between 90 and rotated 280 degrees.

This video shows the basic use of the label editor.

Label editor interface

The label editor is opened by the icon on the reinforcement ribbon or by the command SOF_LBL_EDITOR. The following elements are available:

  • Styles: The available styles are listed in the left area. These are divided into the individual object types.

  • Preview: A standard representation of the label style is shown here. By clicking on this preview you can add new elements to the label, delete elements or select elements to modify their properties.

  • Property: This column shows the properties and setting options of the selected label. The options shown change depending on the selected label object.

Styles

Labeling elements from SOFiCAD-B can now be individually adapted using label styles. It is now also possible to use the AutoCAD label scaling for SOFiCAD elements. The properties of the label style used on the SOFiCAD element can be checked or changed.

LabelE

The properties of the label style used on the SOFiCAD element can be checked or changed. The preset label style can be under reinforcement > StabstahlStil Rebar style > / > Mattenstil Mesh style > Options 2 can be set. In addition to the label style, the properties of the steel bar style used can be checked or changed.

Import / export

It is also possible to import styles from other drawings or to export existing styles to other drawings. To do this, a SOFiCAD object with the desired style is copied into the drawing or a Rebar style StabstahlStil / Mesh Style Mattenstil imported / exported with the desired label style.

Preview

Label objects mainly consist of two elements: boxes (cyan) and boxes (yellow). The preview can be used to add or remove these boxes.

Note

The use of the key combination “Shift” + “Spacebar” can be particularly helpful for the selection of small elements in the preview.

Boxes

Boxes are the parent unit of the label. These boxes consist of one or more fields and can be provided with frames of different geometries. In addition, each box of a label has a handle that can be used for subsequent editing of the label in the drawing area.

LabelEditoricon

Attention: If several handle points are desired in the same line, several boxes must be created in this line.

All associated setting options for these elements are located under the Frame section in the Label Editor

Fields

Fields are responsible for displaying the information. By clicking on the GruneK symbol a new field is inserted next to an existing field (see picture). The order of the fields in the box can be changed later by clicking on the arrow symbol (picture). Each field has a type. There are 4 different types with different functions:

  • Attribute: It is a text that shows a certain property of the object. The selection of attributes changes depending on the object style.

  • Text: The user can add any text here.

  • Line break: This element allows the creation of multiple lines within a box.

  • Placeholder: Creates an invisible rectangle with which the height and width can be adjusted. It is used to separate fields or boxes.

Property

The existing fields and boxes of a label can be modified using the label properties.

Style:

These settings affect the entire label.

  • Alignment: This property determines the arrangement of the handle point in the label, the origin of the pointer (if there is one) and the insertion point of the label. The value “none” corresponds to “top left”

  • Layer: Specifies the layer on which the label object is created. The default is “VonElement”

  • Hide: provides the label with a background area.

  • Readability: This property manages the behavior of the label when it is rotated over 90 ° and under 270 °. This allows the label to always be readable and not upside down. The following setting options are available:

    • None: The label does not react to the rotation.

    • Rotate 180 ° around the center: Rotate around the geometric center of the label

    • Rotate 180 ° around the insertion point: The axis of rotation is determined by the “Alignment” property.

    • Reflection of the label: The boxes that are next to the first box are placed on the other side of the first box.

    • Use alternative label style: The user can use a different label style. This is particularly helpful when the format of the label is particularly complex.

Frame:

With these options you can set the selected box.

  • Alignment: This property determines the arrangement of the handle point in the label, the origin of the pointer (if there is one) and the insertion point of the label. This setting affects the geometry of the box.

  • Color: Setting the color of the frame, if there is one.

  • Line width: Determines the line width of the frame, if there is one.

  • Geometry: Here you can add any frame around the box. All you have to do is select the desired geometry.

  • Dimension: This option manages the size of the frame, if there is one. With the setting automatic, a precisely fitting frame is created, which automatically adapts whenever the size of the box is changed. The setting to user-defined requires the dimensions of the frame to be entered in millimeters.

Text:

These options allow you to set the general text properties of the selected box (text height, color, line width and font style).

Field:

These options affect the selected field.

  • Alignment: This property determines the arrangement of the handle point in the label, the origin of the pointer (if there is one) and the insertion point of the label. This setting affects the geometry of the selected field.

  • Type: You can choose between 4 types: attribute, text, placeholder and line break. More information can be found under the description of the field properties.

  • Attribute Name: Here you can select the different attributes of the object. Different attributes are available depending on the style.

  • Margin: With this parameter you can control the distance between text and field.

A positive value stands for a distance in millimeters. A negative value stands for a multiplier for the text height.

example

Text height = 4.0 mm; Left margin = -0.25 => size of the border = 4.0 x 0.25 = 1.0 mm

  • Attribute (type: text): Attributes can also be given a prefix and a suffix. For example: the attribute diameter can be supplemented with the prefix Ø.
