Girder Reference

Girder Reference is a line or line chainage in Bridge Profile Family. Its over width defines the range (in lateral direction) of Girder Spans created using Girder System command. Line marked as Girder Reference changes its Subcategory to SOFiSTiK_Girder_Reference Bridge Profile Family with Girder Reference properties can be used to create Superstructure elements.

Mark

You can mark selected lines as Girder Reference. Line’s Subcategory will be changed to SOFiSTiK_Girder_Reference.

1. Click SOFiSTiK Bridge tab Family Editor Panel Girder Reference drop-down (Mark)

2. Select one or more lines and confirm with ‘Finish’

3. Selected lines are marked as Girder Reference.

   

Note

In case you select two or more lines, make sure they create continous chainage.

Mark Invisible

You can mark selected lines as Girder Reference and make them invisible. Line’s Subcategory will be changed to SOFiSTiK_Girder_Reference and the ‘Visible’ checkbox will be deactivated. Use this command in case the selected line for Girder Reference is not the part of Bridge Profile. Otherwise, you can experiance problems while creating Superstructure elements.

1. Click SOFiSTiK Bridge tab Family Editor Panel Girder Reference drop-down (Mark Invisible)

2. Select one or more lines and confirm with ‘Finish’

3. Selected lines are marked as Girder Reference and made invisible.

   

Tip

Invisible lines are not taken into account for generation of Superstructure elements.

Unmark

You can unmark line(s) from Girder Reference state. Line’s subcategory will be changed to Generic Models and ‘Visible’ checkbox activated.

1. Click SOFiSTiK Bridge tab Family Editor Panel Girder Reference drop-down (Unmark)

2. Select one or more lines and confirm with ‘Finish’

3. Selected lines are not marked as Girder Reference anymore and made visible.
