Hide and Detail

The Hide and Detail tool places a rebar shape detail turned into the plane of the paper, a dimension line and an annotation on top of a selected rebar set. Therefore the rebar set becomes hidden. The desired detail family can be set on the Details tab in the Settings dialog. The default detail family SOFiSTiK_Detail_RebarSet provides different family types for different styles.

  1. Activate the view in which you want to hide and detail rebar sets.

  2. (Optional) Set a default offset for the dimension line.

  • Click Reinforcement tab > Tag and Detail panel > Tag and Detail drop down > icon_DetailParameters (Detail Parameters) > The Detail Parameter dialog displays.

  • Set a desired length as offset.

  1. Do one of the following:

  • Select one or more rebar sets > Click Reinforcement tab > Tag and Detail panel > icon_HideAndDetail (Hide and Detail).

  • Click Reinforcement tab > Tag and Detail panel > icon_HideAndDetail (Hide and Detail) > Select one or more rebar sets > Click Finish in the Options bar.

Tip

You can move the shape detail with the shape handles at the detail dimension line family and mirror them with the flip arrows at the shape detail family itself.
