Positioning

By using this function, a Position number for selected objects can be created. The position number can be found into the object properties “mark”.

  1. Click BiMTOOLS tab > Label panel > positioning_16 (Positioning).

The Positioning dialog displays.

  1. Enter the settings for the position numbers:

Description

Start Number

The Position String starts with this value

Increment

The gradual increase of the Position String

Precision

The number of digits of the String Position (ex. 3-digit number “001”)

Position String

The syntax of the Position String. Any characters can be included. The default variable “%Level” and “%SN” gives the level and the position of the object as an output.

The variable “%Level” uses the parameter value SOFiSTiK_Level Parameter.

The variable “%Level” uses the value of the layer name

Elements with the same geometry parameters will be provided with the same item number.

Keep Existing Position

Numbers

The already assigned numbers are not reserved or overwritten but remained unchanged. The new positioning numbers starts from the highest previous assigned numbers.

  1. Click “OK”.
