About CDB

The main purpose of this manual is to explain how to access to data of any SOFiSTiK-Database. To get familiar with access it is necessary to learn the basics how the CDB is defined.

‘’CDBase’’ or short ‘’CDB’’ acts as an on-disk associative array. The CDB is mapping keys to values and allows multiple values to be stored for a single key. Only two operations are available: writing and reading. Both operations are designed to be very fast and highly reliable.
