Ribbon UI

In computer interface design, a ribbon is a graphical control element in the form of a set of toolbars placed on several tabs. The typical structure of a ribbon includes large, tabbed toolbars, filled with graphical buttons and other graphical control elements, grouped by functionality.

The ‘File’ ribbon menu is one you will find yourself using extensively. It is used to create new documents, open existing documents and saving your new/updated documents. It also includes the page setup, print preview, and other important options relating to your document and its properties.

Home

All important commands that are used very frequently by the users.

Edit

Contains all important commands for editing and formatting of text.

Insert

The insert ribbon menu is a quick way to add features like page SSD task, chapters, labels, date etc. to your document. If you click on the Insert, you will get a an overview of all those available commands.

View

The View provides all important commands for control the visibility and view options of the UI.
