Hatching

The following commands are used to create hatches. When you click a hatch, AutoCAD’s “Hatch Editor” tab opens. It contains the groups “Boundaries”, “Pattern”, “Properties”, “Origin”, “Options” and “Close”.

The properties of an existing hatch can be edited using the Info / Edit option in the context menu.

The SOFiCAD hatching command is called up by dragging the marked hatch pattern into the drawing area.

The areas to be hatched can be created using the following options:

  • Select internal point: The boundary is automatically found when it is completely visible on the screen.

  • Objects: Selection of closed or not closed elements.

  • Factor: Setting the scaling factor for the hatch pattern.

  • Rectangle: Selection of one or more rectangles.

  • Polygon: Selection of any polygon.

  • Edge: Selection of any line / polyline.

With the command “Create hatching island” additional recesses can be made in existing hatching.

Either corner points of an area can be specified or existing edges (lines, arcs or polylines) can be shown.

The distance of the slope lines can be specified in [mm] . The “hatches” created for embankments are associative. Right-click and double-click functions are now supported by SOFiCAD.
