The axis commands create individual axes or an axis grid. Axes are objects that are composed of the axis line and the axis designation. The text name can be changed, for example, by double-clicking (Info / Edit) in the properties window.

The default settings in the dialog window such as text color, text height and colors of the axis line are read from SOFiCAD_USR.BDD.

The circle symbol can be switched off or a minimum symbol size can be activated. If no minimum size is activated, the symbol remains the same size up to 3 characters.

With 0 ° orientation, the labels are based on the set coordinate system in the individual view window (Sofstart.dwt) or the superstructure object (Sofstart_classic.dwt).

With the Show axes dynamically switch, the axis names are always visible regardless of the zoom area, and with the Adjust size of label button, the text heights of the axis names are always the same size on the screen. These options are also available in the context menu.

The grid can be changed later via Info / Edit.

Longitudinal and / or transverse axes can be generated via the distance and the number. The protrusions at the beginning and end are available for the placement of the labels. The entry for “Length of axis lines” can be edited as soon as only axes are created in one orientation.

The insertion point of the axis grid and the alignment of the labels are controlled by showing the insertion point in the preview window.

A radial axis grid can be created with the “Radial” grid type.

This command converts individual lines and arcs into axes.

Optionally, the selected elements can be deleted. The dialog box for axis input appears for setting the individual options.

If the first axis is placed, the direction for the other axes must be shown.

The center distance can be changed in the command by changing the distance. If the command has already been ended, additional axes can be continued using the “Continue” option extension.
