Defines the basic properties for the structural calculation and displays the project organisation.

For any drawing there is exactly one database. The name of the database is defined using the name of the drawing. The database is always stored in the same directory as the drawing.

When a design code is chosen here, a number of standard materials will be created. Once the design code, the coordinate system and the category for a system have been set, it is no longer possible to edit them. If the settings are incorrectly defined, please leave the drawing without saving and delete the associated files (.CDB and .sofistik) within the windows explorer. After that start a new project with the correct settings. Drawings without any analysis elements can be imported as block.

Each database has a unit set assigned. In this set the units and precision for input and output of the system is determined.
