On this page you will find general important terms for the SOFiCAD reinforcement module.

Intelligent cursor

The intelligent cursor is used to automatically consider a concrete cover in the desired direction when using formwork edges. If the clicked formwork edge lies within the border of the pickbox, a concrete cover is taken into account for this edge, on the side on which the center of the crosshair is located.

Formwork

With this option, any lines can be selected as scarf edges when defining lengths. It does not matter which layer the lines are on, which color they are or which line type they are assigned to. The set concrete cover is automatically taken into account via formwork edges. The set value of the concrete cover appears in the tooltip as soon as the cursor rests over a formwork edge. Once selected, the option is retained in the command dialog. Other options can also be selected via the right-click menu.

delta

You have to work with a delta measure if you want to have a fixed overhang from a certain edge. Select the edge and enter a protrusion as a positive measure and a distance from this edge as a negative measure.

Overlap

If you want to create an overlap or anchoring of the rod to be constructed for a specific rod, you need this option. Select the bar for the overlap or the edge for anchoring and determine in the dialog box that appears which options are required for the calculation of the overlap or anchoring.

Available

With this option you can choose an edge with the desired length from the existing construction. The length shown is adopted for the next partial length. Both lines and rod legs can be shown as the existing length.

Point

With this option any points can be shown. They are adopted as construction points. When entering excerpts with the ‘Show point’ option, the ortho mode is preset. Once selected, the option is retained in the command dialog. Other options can also be selected via the right-click menu.

Parallel option

This option is required if an extract is to be created parallel to the formwork edge.

Center option

This option is required if an extract is to be created parallel to the formwork edge. In addition, this extract should have the same overhang on both sides.

Perpendicular option

This option is required if the bar is to be positioned perpendicular to the formwork edge.

Overlap option

This option is required if an extension with overlap is to be connected to another. .. note :: Alternatively, you can also enter the overlap by hand. Make sure that you have to make the entry in meters.

Note

In the case of multi-leg irons, the leg to be defined is marked with an arrow. If he points to this leg, his position can be defined. If the arrow points parallel to the leg, the length must be specified.
